DIY Bead Chandelier
This week Jennylyn shows us how to use a new paint technique to make this stunning DIY Wooden Bead Chandelier. Be sure to check out more Fusion Mineral Paints for all your DIY Projects!
This project is simple to create and packs a big punch in any room depending on the colour and design you go with.
I’m going to make a toned down version of this. Here’s what you’re going to need:
glue gun and glue (https://amzn.to/2N7eiQN)
A circular frame (https://amzn.to/2p3A5ua)
And a BUNCH of beads (https://amzn.to/2N8UX1O)
STEP ONE: Start by using the yarn to cover the frame. You’ll want to add a small dab of hot glue to keep everything in place.
STEP TWO: Begin planning out your beads and getting them onto some string.
STEP THREE: I want to have a couple accent beads, so I’m going to paint a couple - just to breath a pop of colour into my design. For this, all you need to do is paint your bead before adding it to your string.
STEP FOUR: Next we’re going to attach our strings of beads to our frame. This is super simple to do, because all you have to do is tie a little knot!
PRO TIP: Try to make your design symmetrical. You should be able to look at this from any angle and see more or less see the same thing.
STEP FIVE: Once all the beads are on, all that’s left to do is hang it up! I might actually suggest adding a little dollop of glue to the knots once you are happy with it, to make sure it doesn't come undone down the road. Just a little extra insurance!
