You guys, this project only costs $5, and you'll never find one quite as cute. Today I'm going to show you how to make a DIYMakeup Bag!

Fabric (https://amzn.to/2nWjjg0)

Lining (https://amzn.to/2wkrtTa)

Zipper (https://amzn.to/2w3sY95)

Thread (https://amzn.to/2Lggfot)

Scissors (https://amzn.to/2w2TrDT)

  1. Cut 4 pieces of fabric that measures 11.5” x 8.5”  - 2 of those are the outer shell. If you’re using a regular woven fabric, you’ll also need to fuse interfacing to these pieces for stability - 2 are the lining. These sizes are dependant on what you want. They can be bigger or smaller, but the width will always depend on the zipper length. This zipper is 10” long, so my zipper tape is 11.5”. That’s why the I’ve measured 11.5” on my material.

  2. Sandwich one side of the zipper tape with your fabric and lining, right sides together. Stitch in place using a zipper foot.

  3. Open up the seams and stitch the lining down so it will never get caught in the zipper.

  4. Do the same for the other side of the zipper.

  5. Open up the zipper about ¾” of the length.

  6. Match the outer layer fabrics together, right sides facing and pin together. Do the same for the lining.

  7. Stitch all the way around, and leave a wide opening at the ends of the lining.

  8. We’re going to box out the corners by 1”. You can make this however large you want. Cut the access off.

  9. Using the opening in the lining that we left, slip your hand through to the other side (this is why we left the zip open in #5) and flip your bag right side out. Push out the corners so they are nice and crisp.
